Tamil Panchangam (பஞ்சாங்கம்) is the traditional Tamil Hindu almanac that records five daily elements — Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, and Vara — along with Nalla Neram, Rahu Kalam, and festival information for Tamil Nadu and the Tamil diaspora.
What is Nalla Neram?
Nalla Neram (நல்ல நேரம்) is the auspicious time of day in Tamil Panchangam — the period most favourable for starting new activities, beginning travel, or conducting ceremonies. It is the Tamil equivalent of a positive Muhurtham window.
What are the Tamil months?
The 12 Tamil solar months are: Chithirai (April–May), Vaikasi, Aani, Aadi, Aavani, Purattasi, Aippasi, Karthigai, Margazhi, Thai, Maasi, and Panguni (March–April). The Tamil New Year begins on Chithirai 1 (April 14).
